Radiator and towel rail manufacturer Aeon has joined the Manufacturers' Association of Radiators & Convectors.

MARC now represents significantly more than 90% of the UK radiator market, giving manufacturers an opportunity to have a cohesive industry voice.

Aeon’s presence in the UK is as parent company for Pitacs, distributor of the Ultraheat brand of panel radiators and towel rails, based in Milton Keynes. Established in 1989, Pitacs employs 48 people in the UK.

Ultraheat products are supplied to independent merchants in the UK, while the Aeon brand features hand-made stainless steel and sculptural radiators and towel rails, sold within high end bathroom showrooms and boutiques.

Saffet Kalendar, managing director of Pitacs, said: “The Manufacturers’ Association of Radiators & Convectors has become an increasingly visible and influential organisation within recent years and membership will allow us to be a part of this important industry voice. We are looking forward to being actively involved with other members and the ongoing work to promote the interests of our industry.”

John Colling, chairman of MARC, said: “We are very excited to welcome Pitacs into the membership of MARC, because every new member brings additional strength, insight and weight to our work. Pitacs has long been established here in the UK and we are very much looking forward to being more involved with them as we move forward.”

MARC's membership includes manufacturers such as the Rettig Group (Myson, Purmo, Vogel & Noot); Stelrad; Henrad; Quinn Radiators, Vaillant Group, Kudox and Zehnder.
