nVent Electric has announced an update to its RAYCHEM SENZ WIFI electric underfloor heating thermostat, which enables end-users to control their floor heating with voice commands via a smartphone app or home hub device.
Made possible thanks to the development of an open application programming interface (API), the new feature allows the adaptable control of the SENZ WIFI thermostat to be integrated with digital assistants and smart speaker devices. This advancement offers building managers and homeowners the ultimate freedom and convenience to control their heating hands-free.
“In recent years, many of us have come to rely on digital assistants and smart speakers to help us easily manage a range of systems, both commercial and residential,” said Thomas Vranken, nVent Marketing Manager.
“We’re incredibly excited to offer smart-device integration and voice command capabilities through this latest update to the SENZ WIFI thermostat. Through this enhanced connectivity, we not only hope to add to the many unique benefits of electric underfloor heating, but also make them more convenient and easier to access than ever before.”
