Jonathan Kidner, Product Engineer at Alpha Heating Innovation, discusses the increased warranties in the company’s E-Tec range, and highlights the high level of design and manufacturing of each product.

In the last eight months, Alpha has not only raised the warranty on its E-Tec Plus combi boiler from seven to 10 years, but has also completely overhauled the original E-Tec and Evoke warranty from five to seven years.

Both steps were taken due to the reliability these products have demonstrated since their launch and indicate the confidence that the team at Alpha has in them as a result.

Since its inception over 50 years ago, Alpha has evolved from a local heating installation business to a national heating appliance manufacturer with the support of its Italian parent company Immergas – one of Europe’s largest heating manufacturers.

As part of the Immergas Group, Alpha benefits from one of the most advanced production facilities in the world. With this support, Alpha can develop products that give customers confidence in the quality of the E-Tec range and its makeup.

The E-Tec’s reliability has always stemmed from its quality components, whether they are Alpha’s own or selected from well-known and trusted industry brands.

For example, both the E-Tec and E-Tec Plus feature a stainless-steel heat exchanger and a zinc-plated expansion vessel to provide a high level of corrosion resistance within the system. The range also includes a combined condensate and pressure relief valve connection.

Finally, the E-Tec combis house a high-efficiency Grundfos pump and hydroblock, along with a Honeywell gas valve and PCB.

To ensure the performance of all Alpha products, each new design undergoes a rigorous testing process for operation and efficiency prior to launch.

These include various endurance tests, which replicate installation scenarios and extreme weather conditions to ensure that a product will last and perform as expected under any circumstance.

Since the launch of E-Tec and E-Tec Plus, we have performed regular testing to confirm the level of reliability that has been witnessed by users. It is due to this high level of product performance that Alpha has been able to extend the warranty for both boilers.

As well as combining stringent performance testing with quality, industry-recognised branded components, ease of installation has always been a focus for the design of the E-Tec range.

The E-Tec is Alpha’s most compact combi, easily installed in a standard kitchen cupboard with front access to all components for straightforward servicing.

For further peace of mind, with the addition of a PremierPack wall-mounting jig – either the PremierPack Pro for the standard E-Tec or the PremierPack Extra for the E-Tec Plus – the boiler warranties can be extended by an additional two or three years. Alpha’s PremierPack products come with a host of premium features that make boiler installations quicker and easier, such as an integral pipe clip plate with variable fixing points.

They also come with an integrated Cyclone Plus – a boiler mounted magnetic cyclone filter to remove debris from the system. Alternatively, an additional year can be added to the warranty of either boiler with the installation of the standalone Cyclone filter.

Alpha boilers have always been very competitively priced on the market. However, the E-Tec range has continually outperformed other brands at similar price points.

With an E-Tec range combi boiler from Alpha, installers can be sure to expect everything that you would from a great combi with a warranty of up to 13 years. With a warranty of that length, installers can rest assured that they have selected the best and most reliable solution for their customers.
