The HHIC has launched a consumer campaign to promote the benefits of gas fires

The domestic gas fire has many comfort benefits, as well as being an aspirational centrepiece for the living room. HHIC's consumer campaign will promote the benefits of gas fires as the practical and attractive solution for secondary heating in UK homes to a consumer audience off and online.

Stewart Clements, Director of the Heating & Hotwater Industry Council (HHIC), said: "A gas fire is an, efficient, aspirational and economical method for heating your home, particularly when used as a secondary source of heat."

Mr Clements continued: "There is more to a gas fire than providing warmth alone. The latest gas fires can offer heat outputs upwards of 6kW. We are launching this campaign as a follow up to our consumer guide to help people understand the many benefits of a gas fire and to showcase the inspiring designs available."
