OSO Hotwater UK has launched a new cylinder scrappage promotion.

The scheme is designed to capture interest in environment sustainability and energy efficiency for domestic water heating, the company says.

Currently the government is supporting scrappage schemes for gas boilers and investing up £4,000 per household in green heat scheme vouchers for the installation of carbon reduced domestic hot water systems in off gas areas, like ground and air source heat pumps. Domestic hot water storage is not included in any of the government supported schemes and OSO Hotwater want to promote the fact that by replacing your cylinder with an OSO you can benefit from a reduction in your annual utility bills too, and provide domestic hot water more efficiently.

Delta is leading the campaign as the company can demonstrate the comparative efficiency improvements with the Delta, however Super Coil is included as a cost-effective alternative to Delta, and the firm is also including Geo Coil as this supports the government's green heat strategy.

All claims will be made through the OSO Partner website, www.osopartner.co.uk.

You can receive the values below in OSO Partner reward points by scrapping the following:

  • £50 (1,100 points) – Super Coil 120, 150, and 180.
  • £50 (1,100 points) – Delta Coil 150 and 180.
  • £100 (2,200 points) – Super Coil 210, 250, and 300.
  • £100 (2,200 points) – Delta Coil 210, 250, and 300.
  • £100 (2,200 points) – Delta Geo Coil 200, 250, and 300.

These cylinders will be highlighted as scrappage promotion on the OSO Partner claims page, and will be available for all claims made during this period for existing OSO Partner members too. There will be a specific claims page set up in OSO Partner and the company is requesting images of the old cylinder replaced, as well as also asking the installer/consumer to recycle their old cylinder.
