Able to fit inside a cupboard with ease due to a compact 280mm depth, both of these energy-saving boilers offer the same high quality construction as the NCB700. Each boiler is available as a combi, while there are also system and regular versions of the NCB500. All models can achieve hot water outputs of up to 41kW while achieving an ErP efficiency of 93%.
Thanks to Navien’s flow adjustment valve and auto mixing valve, the NCB500 is able to provide lashings of hot water, with no changes in DHW temperature or flow rate. The boiler also boasts a built-in, text-driven digital display panel. Simple to program and use, it includes a two-channel timer and allows end-users to monitor their energy usage with ease. The NCB500 is available in outputs of either 37kW or 41kW respectively, and also benefits from a keyless filling link; as no key or hose is required, repressurising the heating system is easy for installers and homeowners alike.
The range is completed by the NCB300, which is a pared down version of its larger cousins, but still achieves strong levels of hot water performance, due to its high quality construction and high-tech components. There are three sizes of NCB300 available, with DHW outputs of 28kW, 37kW, and 41kW to choose from, plus each unit benefits from an LCD control panel for comprehensive management of heating and hot water temperatures.
Each boiler utilises a high quality and durable stainless steel heat exchanger, ensuring a long lifespan, alongside high levels of reliability while preventing corrosion. This key component has been designed and developed to maximise heat transfer efficiently, as well as cope with a range of high temperatures and pressures – without compromising hot water delivery.
As with Navien’s NCB700, both the NCB500 and NCB300 are hydrogen-ready, enabling them to operate using a blend of 20% hydrogen and 80% natural gas. In addition, the new gas boilers are designed to be fitted and used in conjunction with Navien’s Smart Plus control pack; doing so increases their overall efficiency.
Commenting on the extended NCB range, Jason Davies, National Business Manager at Navien, said: “Building upon the excellence of the NCB700, these two new models complete the range with the high levels of quality and hot water delivery associated with Navien. We can now offer exceptional boilers capable of fitting inside a cupboard with ease, without compromising on energy efficiency or performance.
“The NCB500 utilises our renowned expertise and engineering to ensure consistent DHW temperatures and flow rates, while the NCB300 is the first hydrogen-ready boiler in its price bracket. Adding these models alongside the NCB700 means Navien now offers the ultimate in hot water and heating technology for a wealth of applications and property sizes.”
