With the new cutting tool, aluminium composite and plastic pipes can be cut much more easily than with conventional shears. A freely rotating cutting wheel enables the pipe to be rotated with little friction during cutting, which reduces the effort required by up to 60%.
Whether the pipe is already installed or it is processed from the roll, the rotary/swivelling movement reduces the required pressure and minimises deformation of the composite pipe. Wide plastic supports mounted opposite the cutting wheel allow perfect right-angled cuts.
The pipe cutter cuts all common composite and plastic conduit pipes with diameters of up to 26mm. Its robust construction means it is also suitable for composite pipes with increased aluminium layer thickness, such as Geberit Mepla. The replaceable cutting wheel is made of a special grade of chrome vanadium electric steel and is oil-hardened.
The tool is equipped with ergonomic multi-component grips. A locking mechanism ensures it can be safely transported.
