The Heating & Hotwater Industry Council (HHIC) has welcome public consultation on proposals to amend the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) published by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) as part of their Energy efficiency in buildings programme.
Stewart Clements, director at HHC said: “SAP ratings are an integral part of the heating industry and the opportunity to ‘have our say’ has been long awaited. It provides us with a great opportunity to help steer government policy.
“The consultation document, which is open until the 27 January 2017, sets out 20 questions. For anyone in the industry, now is the time to have your say about how we calculate emission rates for buildings in the UK.
“Over the coming weeks we will be engaging with our members on the proposed amendments and will respond to BEIS accordingly.”
