Since launching their wetroom installation training programme ‘We are Wetrooms’ in 2016, Impey has welcomed thousands of installers, retailers, plumbers, tilers, and merchant counter sales staff.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of their virtual training seminars, which it started in 2021, the brand has again announced an annual programme of nine sessions due to take place between March and November 2023.

Impey’s training department says it has invested in a state-of-the-art virtual training hub; kitted out with a product presentation studio and demo areas.

Purpose-made content ensures that seminar participants can take advantage of the specially tailored online course, which blends pre-recorded videos with a variety of live Q&A sessions.

The Impey ‘We Are Wetrooms’ interactive virtual training sessions for 2023 kick off on 10 March, led by Shaun Hunt, Impey’s Technical and Trade Marketing Manager, who has over 20 years’ experience in the sector.

Each session covers:

  • Wetroom installation and floor formers
  • Wetroom installation into a wooden or concrete floor
  • How to achieve the perfect wetroom gradient
  • Drainage: gravity fed and pumped waste
  • Leak-free water proofing.

The course also addresses fitting requirements for Impey's award-winning Aqua-Dec EasyFit floor former range.

Attendees are encouraged to ask questions about their current projects, discuss Impey’s product installation requirements, and tailor the course to their level of understanding.

Hunt explained: “With such a positive response to our previous ‘We Are Wetrooms’ virtual training events, we have decided to run nine sessions in 2023.

“The format combining live and video elements proved incredibly popular; and the online presentation means that participants can join us from anywhere. The sessions which tend to last a couple of hours are conducted through Zoom.

“I love taking questions from the attendees about the projects they are planning or wetroom installations they have worked on; it really enables me to tailor each course to its participants.”

Neil Whitehead, Head of Marketing added: “We are committed to investment in skills training and excited to be able to offer these ‘We Are Wetrooms’ training sessions. Shaun’s knowledge is vast. He conveys best practice for wetroom installation in the most engaging and absorbing way.

“These really are ‘must attend’ sessions for anyone who has an interest in the installation, specification, or sales of level access shower spaces.”
