The HG Series has been designed to be the most efficient hot water cylinder available in the UK – according to independently measured performance data (OpenEnergyMonitor). It includes a 6.0m² single coil with reverse return configuration, and a specific design to maximise stratification within the cylinder.

It is designed to maximise the effect of what Heat Geek calls "the heat source saturation point". This means heat pumps will heat hot water with a much lower flow temperature and rapidly increase efficiency. If combined with a gas boiler this will mean the boiler will completely condense in hot water increasing gas efficiency by over 10% (if controlled as suggested), or give the fastest recovery time currently available on the market.

Adam Chapman, founder of Heat Geek, said: “There didn’t seem to be an option available on the market that fulfilled the basic design principals of low temperature hot water heating to maximise efficiency. The only option was therefore to design our own bespoke solution and there’s only one company to go to for that - Newark Cylinders!”

Tom Sharpe, Technical Sales Manager, Newark Cylinders, added: “Working with Adam and Heat Geek has been thoroughly rewarding. We’re both driven by a shared desire to decarbonise heating and hot water technology, so it has been great to have the opportunity to develop these products with Heat Geek.”
