The Worshipful Company of Plumbers (WCoP) has again opened applications for its tools and equipment Bursary scheme.
Bursaries are for student plumbers who would benefit from financial assistance as a direct result of progressing to S/NVQ Level 3 MES (Plumbing) or equivalent. In England this is following completion of a Level 2 qualification.
WCoP offers bursaries of up to £1,000 to assist students to buy costly tools and equipment. This is awarded in vouchers for tools and equipment only (it cannot be used to offset any course fees provided by an employer).
Students are encouraged to apply directly but must have a reference from their lecturer or employer. Professional bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering, training providers, and employers are encouraged to support students who, in their opinion, meet the criteria and would therefore merit consideration as possible recipients of a bursary.
To apply, candidates need to return a completed application form, provide proof of registration, (including the enrolment number with the awarding body for S/NVQ Level 3 MES Plumbing or equivalent), along with proof of completion of S/NVQ Level 2 MES (Plumbing). If you possess a different qualification that you wish to be considered, please send further details to WCoP.
All applications will be considered by WCoP’s Education & Technical Committee, who may seek additional information. Not all candidates will be successful and the decision of the Education & Technical Committee is final.
All applications should be made by the 10 January 2020. For more information and to download an application form, visit the Worshipful Company of Plumbers website here or contact the Clerk by phone on 020 7628 8880 or email email@example.com.
