The Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (APHC) has launched an online course for installers wanting a good understanding of book-keeping, cash-flow management and reviewing profits.
The 'Introduction to Finance' course, available through APHC's Online Learning Centre, focuses on providing installers with the tools they need to make their business more profitable, by getting a better handle on their finances.
The online course walks people step-by-step through everything they need to know about book-keeping, cash-flow and how to work out profit, as well as giving you hints and tips on how to improve profit margins for future growth. For example, understanding how income needs to be recorded, and the advantages of categorising their income into relevant work areas such as bathroom installations, general plumbing or boiler installations?
The course lasts between two and four hours and costs £25 +VAT for APHC members, while non-members can access the course for £35 +VAT. On successful completion of the end course assessment, APHC will email through a printable certificate.
