Employed UK plumbers are earning just £1,500 above the average UK salary, according to analysis by RS Components.
Plumbers are reportedly, on average, earning £31,055 a year, compared to the UK average salary of £29,558. This is slightly under the yearly earnings of electricians, who earn an average of £32,315.
Plumbers were one of 270 jobs that were analysed in the study, which used Office of National Statistics data on employee earnings in 2018.
The research found that Chief Executives have the highest average salary, sitting at £97,083 a year.
