OpenTherm – the non-manufacturer dependent system of communication between modulating HVAC heating appliances and room thermostats – is inviting all installers heading for PHEX at Chelsea on 13-14 November to a series of workshops to find out more about OpenTherm and its benefits to them, their customers, and the industry at large.

The company says this is a major opportunity to learn more about a new form of technology that will be a major mover and shaker in the heating industry here in the UK. It is conservatively thought that more than 80% of all heating installations by 2023 will involve OpenTherm technology.

The workshops will begin at 11am, 1pm and 3pm each day in a room on the fourth floor of Chelsea's Stamford Bridge stadium. Simply hop in a lift to the fourth floor and follow the arrows to the workshops. In between the workshops, which will be part theory and part practical where installers can get their hands on the equipment, visitors are also welcome to visit and find out more about OpenTherm from boiler manufacturer and heating controls manufacturers who will be there to enlighten the installer audience.

“No booking needed – just get in the lift, head for the fourth floor, follow the signs and come and meet us and find out more about OpenTherm,” said Yorick Lieffering, OpenTherm Association Director. “There will be a warm welcome for all attendees – we look forward to meeting you!”
