Jaga UK has responded to concerns raised about its Maxi LST radiator.

QRL Radiators released a statement stating that it had Jaga's Maxi radiator tested at two seperate independent laboratories, BSRIA in Bracknell, England and HLK in Stuttgart, Germany, to gauge its performance as part of a benchmarking process. However, in both cases, the product failed to meet the tested output required to comply with the EN442 standard. 

EN442 is a standard which certifies the output of all heat emitters for central heating systems. Under the Construction Products Regulation (305/2011/EU), all radiators, heated towel rails, heat emitters and convector heaters must be CE marked before they can be sold in the UK. A CE Mark can only be applied to a product which has been successfully tested to EN442 by a Notified Body.

Jaga UK has released its own statement in response, which states: "Jaga UK is aware of the concerns raised by QRL, and we’d like to take this opportunity to reassure our customers, who are our greatest priority.

"An issue was identified and while it was investigated, the Maxi LST was removed from general sale and has subsequently been replaced with a new, fully tested Maxi 2020 range which meets all necessary criteria.

"We would like to reassure our customers that this issue has no implication for the safety or the quality of the Maxi LST, or any other product within the Jaga portfolio. We would also like to assure you that every LST product sold by Jaga UK today has been tested in line with EN442."
