This Editor's Comment is from our November/December 2018 edition.

We’re always trying to think of new ways to improve HVP for our readers. We keep an eye on how you’re engaging with our content, and take on board direct feedback from our reader surveys, social media, and more, to ensure we’re providing you with the information you need.

For instance, a significant portion of our readership accesses our website via mobile. Plumbers and gas engineers are on the tools all day, meaning that many of our readers will typically only get the chance to catch up on latest breaking news from their phones, perhaps at lunchtime or after receiving our weekly newsletter on Thursday afternoon.

Our website metrics also indicate that our ability to break news first and provide exclusive, in-depth articles is giving more and more people a reason to visit the site.

So, what does all this mean? Well, I’m pleased to announce that HVP has launched a new, updated website at www.hvpmag.co.uk. For the last few months, we have been slogging away behind the scenes to create a website which we think really adds value for our readers.

The new design echoes that of the print magazine, to ensure a seamless transition between both platforms but, most importantly, the website is fully optimised for mobile platforms, resulting in a much more enjoyable experience for visitors on the go. Before the end of the year, we will also be releasing a new mobile-optimised newsletter to work in tandem with the new website, so sign up to receive it if you haven’t already and let us know what you think.

On top on that, we will continue to grow the number of contributors on the website, in order to provide you with even more exclusive technical articles on the things that matter to you. We also have plans to bring you even more articles tackling the big issues, written and researched by the HVP team.

Please do take some time to visit our new look website and, if you have any feedback or suggestions, get in touch by emailing me at j.dart@hgluk.com. This website will be an evolving platform, so any feedback will help inform any future changes we make to the site.

We hope you enjoy this last issue of the year, and continue to engage with us on social media and at PHEX Chelsea this month. We’ll see you again in 2019 for our January issue.
