Sub-contractors can look forward to a personal boost as StreetwiseSubbie take its LinkedIn group on the road.

The new breakfast groups from the specialist consultant are intended as a live and interactive version of its online networking group, with presentations, informal chat and discussions.

With over 640 members in the online group, Streetwise directors Geoff Noake and Barry Ashmore decided it was time to meet the members and found the first session was a big hit.

“Our first group was a runaway success with 100% positive comments, so we arranged further groups throughout the year”, said Mr Ashmore.

The sessions aim to help sub-contractors to be positive about their company's future and provide a forum for sharing ideas and information, news and tips on how to improve their business.

“Unless you work in construction, you really have no idea just how it works and after 20 years in the industry, first as a sub-contractor and the last 20 more years resolving sub-contractor's problems, we have a pretty good idea what will benefit our members."

The next meetings are on Wednesday 28 March at Rhubarb Triangle, Wakefield and Thursday 29 March at Whitegate Inn, Oldham from 8-9.45am with registration from 7.35am.
