SME contractors from Ealing are being invited to a free event in Southall on 25 March, to find out about upcoming work contracts worth £200 million.

The event, hosted by Constructionline in partnership with Catalyst Housing, Ealing Council and Bouygues UK, will see SME firms meet with procurement teams working on the delivery of 900 new homes for the Havelock Estate regeneration.

Catalyst Housing and Bouygues UK will be building the homes and are seeking a wide range of local contracting firms to support the delivery including plumbers, electricians, joiners and plasterers.

Taking place at Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College's Southall campus on Beaconsfield Road, the event will offer small businesses the chance to meet procurement decision makers to discuss the project and its objectives. The firms will also give guidance on contractor requirements and an estimated timetable.

Vicky Chamlet, client relationship manager at Constructionline, said: "This is such a huge project and the event will provide a great opportunity for small contracting firms to help them learn about winning work on the delivery of the new houses. It can be hard to access these types of frameworks so we encourage all Ealing-based contractors to come along to the event to find out about the work on offer."

Mikel Berrebi, regional director at Bouygues UK, added: "We are committed to working with local businesses on this project to ensure that the local economy benefits as much as possible from our plans. This event will allow us to meet with a variety of SMEs so that we can build a reliable supply-chain on the doorstep of the project."

The event will run from 8:30am until 1.30pm and suppliers do not have to be a Constructionline member to attend. For more information or to register interest, go to www.constructionline.co.uk/events.
