Social housing maintenance company Rok has gone into administration just months after rival firm Connaught collapsed.
PwC has confirmed all of Rok’s 3,800 staff will be paid for the time being "if they attend work and perform their duties as usual", but has said it is too early to say how many jobs will be lost and what redundancy packages will arise in such an event.
The administrator has also said it will try to find a buyer for the firm as quickly as possible. Reports in the Financial Times claim Mears is already in talks to acquire the social housing element of the business.

Subsequently, the company re-instated Mr Martin, but he resigned only a few days later, claiming his position was "untenable".
