Heating control manufacturer Honeywell is supporting the Association of Plumbing & Heating Contractors (APHC) as it launches its first ‘Quality Plumber Week’.

Quality Plumber Week runs from 29 September to 5 October and celebrates the wide range of skilled work that quality plumbing and heating engineers carry out on a daily basis. The week also intends to raise consumer awareness of using properly qualified, trained installers.

Andy Mansfield, marketing communications manager at Honeywell, said: “It’s great that a contractor scheme such as APHC is launching a week in celebration of all the hard work that plumbers and heating engineers carry out.

“Championing and supporting the qualified installer is a cause which is very close to Honeywell’s ethos as a company, and one of the main reasons we launched our Honeywell Installer Network in 2010. We hope the week is a success and the first of many more to come.”

The Honeywell Installer Network offers members free heating control training, plus advice on all aspects of heating control system design, equipment specification, energy saving opportunities and information on new legislation and the latest products. In addition, members are added to Honeywell’s online ‘find an installer’ database for homeowners to use when looking for an installer in their area.
