The Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) has launched an e-learning website for its members. The site includes learning modules, demonstration videos, literature and technical information.
Danny Davis, operations manager at the CIPHE who has been closely involved with the development of the e-PD website, said: “This is a brilliant opportunity for our members to update their knowledge. Each module displays the time it takes to complete, so it’s easy to fit in with the time they have available.
”Institute members are encouraged to undertake professional development to ensure they keep abreast of new technology and changes in the industry. This is one way we can help them to do this. The majority of modules are free of charge, so I’m sure they will find the site very beneficial.”
There are over 200 modules to choose from and more material will be added to the site on a regular basis. Members in business who want to get to grips with IT can access learning packages covering spread sheets, word processing, presentations and Microsoft Windows.
