Bristan is pledging its support to plumbers to help them make the most of social media for their business.
The company is launching a series of hints and tips on using social media for business, which will be hosted on its Facebook site over the next month.
Bristan is also launching a competition to help with one winner’s Facebook and Twitter business pages. The winner will be invited to the Bristan head office in Tamworth to spend time with the company's digital team, not only to build the pages but also to gain instructions on how to maintain and grow their customer following online and in turn drive new business enquiries. The competition went live yesterday (1 April 2014).
Bill Wilson, group e-commerce manager, said: "It is now said that one in every seven minutes spent online around the world is spent on Facebook and, with the growth of mobile devices and super-fast connection speeds, this is likely to grow. Facebook, YouTube and Twitter still remain the most popular sites, so installers need to fully embrace these channels to maximise the way they can communicate with their customers.
"As a brand we are committed to making life easier for our customers and therefore we felt that by offering these hints, we could provide installers with helpful information to help them improve their business profile online. Our goal is to show how quick and easy it is to use Facebook and Twitter. The tips will offer easy ways to talk to customers in a fun and memorable way to get people talking about and recommending you, and in turn, grow their businesses."
