Forty percent of the nation claims their best 'eureka moments' occur in the bathroom, according to recent research by onepoll.com. The findings were released earlier this week to celebrate emergency drainage company Dyno-Rod's 50th birthday.

Based on the answers of 2,000 respondents, the findings are as follows:

“Whether it’s arguments over not putting the seat down or escaping to read the newspaper, the toilet is an integral part of our home,” said David Alexander, director of Dyno Services. “For the last five decades our engineers have been keeping the nation’s toilets flushing and today carry out a job every 40 seconds.

“As a result, Dyno continues to help homes and businesses run smoothly across the UK and are delighted to be able to mark the last 50 years of Dyno-Rod with a golden anniversary of our own, and are now looking forward to the next half a century!”
