The BUS will launch in Spring 2022 to aid the decarbonisation of buildings through the provision of upfront capital grants to support the installation of heat pumps, and in some circumstances biomass boilers, in homes and some non-domestic buildings across England and Wales.

Ofgem has been named by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) as the intended administrator of the scheme, and it recently launched a consultation on the proposed administration of the BUS.

The organisation is encouraging boiler installers to attend the webinar, which it says will provide an overview of its proposals set out in the consultation, the opportunity to ask questions on the proposals, as well as details on how to submit a response to the consultation.
