Logic Certification has added a number of new electrical qualifications to its portfolio, aimed at engineers and installers who are required to have an understanding of electricity and smart meters.
Mark Krull, director of Logic Certification, said: "Our new courses are designed to meet the needs of electricians, including a new Level 3 Initial Verification and Inspection qualification, as well as training for other building services engineers who are required to have an understanding of electricity. Kitchen fitters, gas installers and plumbers all come across electrical tasks as part of their role.
"We are offering an Amendment 3 only option for the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations, allowing installers who have completed Amendments 1 and 2 to just cover any changes to the standard. This means learners can choose what best suits their specific needs, rather than going over old ground or spending an unnecessary amount of time in the classroom.
"Other new courses include a Smart Meter Level 2 Diploma, helping meet the demand for installers required by the roll out. This presents an opportunity for existing building services engineers and new entrants, who have found employment with one of the energy suppliers or other companies responsible for delivering the Smart Meter upgrade programme."
