Available in left or right-handed versions, the Juniper HP Plus integrates an air source heat pump with a high-quality stainless steel cylinder for powerful and convenient hot water production; making it suitable for electric-only residential or light commercial projects.

For larger properties, or where there’s a need for additional domestic hot water, multiple Juniper HP Plus water heaters can be installed in parallel.

Paul Longman, National Specifications Manager at Modutherm, said: “As developers and housebuilders integrate renewables into their apartment and multi-dwelling projects, they’re looking for exceptional value for money – and the Juniper HP Plus delivers just that. We’ve built our reputation on bringing top quality, innovative and cost-effective products to specifiers and heating engineers, and this heat pump water heater is no exception. It’s the perfect choice for residential and light commercial applications, as well as being simple to install and operate.”

The unit uses R290, a naturally occurring refrigerant found in everyday household appliances such as domestic fridge-freezers and portable air conditioners. It has a low Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 3, and an Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) of 0, which maintains better working parameters with heat pumps, according to the company.

The floor-standing unit is available in 200 and 300l capacities with handed front/side-mounted water connections to facilitate straightforward integration with pipework affixed to an adjacent wall, ensuring symmetry in pipework installation across all properties. This is especially advantageous for Prefabricated Utility Cupboard (PUC) suppliers by streamlining pipework manufacturing processes.

The Juniper HP Plus is listed in SAP Appendix Q, signifying its significant contribution to renewables within the SAP Framework. It is also fully ErP Part L compliant. The Juniper HP Plus can also deliver significant running cost savings, Modutherm says, with standing losses of only 1.4kW per day.

Due to its advanced software, the unit can automatically calculate and analyse its current operating conditions and then adjust the power input to achieve an optimal Co-efficient of Performance (CoP). Under the standard test condition of EN16147, the water heater can achieve a CoP of up to 3.80.

Juniper HP Plus can controlled locally with the large touchscreen, or remotely via the Smart Life app, making it easy to configure and manage. It is also suitable for use with Decoral WiFi Electric aluminium radiators from Modutherm’s sister company, MHS Radiators.

The Juniper HP Plus also has a five year tank and two year parts warranty.
