Homeserve’s founder and Chief Executive has responded to concerns about conflicting interests between Checkatrade and Homeserve.
Richard Harpin, Chief Executive of Homeserve, has penned an open letter which has been published on the Checkatrade Facebook page. In it he addresses a number of concerns raised on social media about Checkatrade, including pricing and recent changes to the business.
Homeserve completed its takeover of Checkatrade in November 2017.
Richard also responded to fears about Homeserve using the platform to siphon work away from tradespeople.
“The plumbers and heating engineers we employ are focused on doing repair work for our members. We have no plans to expand into other trades,” he said.
