The Fernox TF1 Omega Filter has been shortlisted for Energy Efficient Product of the Year - HVAC&R - at the Energy Awards 2017. The filter had its environmental credentials and energy efficiency capabilities carefully examined to make the final seven within this competitive category.
Attended by professionals within the energy market from across the globe, the annual awards celebrate the industry’s finest achievements, including the latest innovative product developments and examples of performance excellence in the energy sector.
Launched in July 2016, the TF1 Omega Filter is the company’s first nickel-plated brass filter developed for the domestic heating market - extending the Fernox range and choice of TF1 system filters to include metal as well as composite plastic, dependent on installer preference. The precision-engineered filter combines a bespoke powerful Neodymium magnet with Hydronic Particle Separation (HPS) technology to ensure superior capture levels of system debris for safe removal. Due to its neat design and orientation capability, the TF1 Omega Filter can be fitted in the most compact spaces.
Providing a flexible and simple installation, the unit can also be fixed horizontally or vertically on 22mm and 28mm pipework in both flow directions. Demonstrating its versatility for use within restricted spaces, the filter can even be positioned at 45 degrees.
Offering an easy and mess-free cleaning process that can be completed in situ -without the need to dismantle the unit - the TF1 Omega Filter is designed with heating engineers in mind, to reduce time on-site.
Delivering an exemplary level of boiler protection and optimised system efficiency, the TF1 Omega Filter has an unrivalled, market leading 25-year warranty. Designed without a removable lid, the filter also requires minimal maintenance as it does not require its O-ring to be regularly replaced.
Francine Wickham, Global Marketing Director at Fernox, said: “We’re delighted that the Fernox TF1 Omega Filter has been shortlisted for the Energy Awards after such positive feedback from both installers and homeowners.”
