Zip HydroTap makes a difference in BBC's DIY SOS

08 June 2010

A ZIP HydroTap has been featured on BBC1's popular DIY SOS programme, installed in the home of Lucy Salamone and Mario Petagine from Watford, to assist the specialist care of their daughter, Luna.

Three-year-old Luna is suffering from a brain tumour that makes her particularly susceptible to germs.

Installation of the HydroTap, which delivers instant boiling and chilled water, has assisted her parents in sterilising and cleaning her medical equipment and food bottles in the serenity of her home, rather than having to manage her illness in hospital.

David Bradbrook, marketing director at Zip Heaters (UK) Ltd, commented: "When approached by the BBC we were delighted to be able to provide a HydroTap to assist Luna's parents in caring for their daughter at home."
